The first time Amelia Pond sees Rose Tyler it’s in a Resort Planet (not really, that’s a lie the Doctor told her)

It’s a small planet that orbits New, New (New, New, New, New…) York.  Everything is pretty and clean and peaceful, there are no gigantic buildings or chaotic traffic. And it’s quite nice to just walk the streets, and observe everything, the rich architecture, the shops, the gardens and the many aliens in the crowd.

(it’s in reality a very expensive private clinic, for long term therapies. It occupies the whole planet.)

Rose Tyler is sick.

But Amelia Pond doesn’t know that. Truth be told, the first time Amy sees Rose, she doesn’t really see her at all. What she sees is the Doctor walking in her direction, waving his hands and calling “Ah, Pond! Here you are. Tell me, what does your brain registers when I say ‘Do not wander off?”

Like that was her fault. He had disappeared on her while they were looking at small stands on the port market, his new personal obsession, they had hat. That was more than four hours ago. She was too mad, and frankly too tired, to notice the blond girl in a white dress standing behind the Doctor, further and further away with each steep he took in her direction.

In the next 3 weeks they returned to that small planet twice. I like their hats, the Doctor said.
